I just finished a really long yoga video and I just wanna know if yoga is good for anything. Does it help you loose weight??

    yoga probably wont help you loose weight. Ive been taking yoga and pilates since i was 13 (im 17 now) and neither of them have ever helped me loose weight. But they are totally worth it. I feel relaxed, energized and “in-place”. Yoga and pilates help your posture, breathing and flexibility. But dont expect to have a drastic weight loss.

    Yoga helps primarily with building core strength and increasing flexibility. Depending on the routine it can also build other muscle groups most commonly legs and back.

    and depending on your instructor, you can usually make requests to target specific areas of your body :)

    Yoga has been practiced for hundreds of years, i recently just started a class two weeks ago and love it. There are many many different types and with different intensity levels. Depending on the intensity that will determine how many calories you burn. Mine is not for weight loss its on mindfulness. In being comfortable with your body and eating (since i suffer from anorexia). It is very helpful for relaxation and just being able to breathe.
